After months of planning, The Barossa Roadmap to Wellbeing Support is ready to be distributed throughout the community.

The pamphlet was designed by Uni SA occupational therapy students, Tori McIntyre and Heidi Brewster, under the supervision of Dr Bill Gransbury, to improve the mental health services for children aged up to 12-years-old.

Collaborating with the 0-12 Reference Group of Enhance Barossa Mental Health, the roadmap identifies the different services available to parents in the region to support the mental wellbeing of children.

The reference group is made up of service providers, public servants and parents who are passionate about the mental wellbeing of children in this age group.

Over the next few weeks, it will be distributed to a range of facilities including schools, play groups, libraries and health professionals.

The roadmap features a wide range of services and is split into certain categories depending on the type of behaviour a child is presenting.

Free parenting workshops are also set to be held throughout August and September, providing parents with simple and practical strategies they can adapt to their own situations.
