Man’s best friend was immortalised on canvas recently, as Eudunda celebrated the launch of the South Australian Living Arts (SALA) festival, with an all-ages ‘Paint Your Pooch’ workshop, held at the Eudunda District Hall.

The free event was organised by Arts and Cultural Facilitator, Ali Eckermann, from the Regional Council of Goyder, in collaboration with local artists, Julie Lloyd and Graham Smith.

Participants had the opportunity to spend a few relaxing hours painting their favourite four-legged friends, while receiving expert guidance from professional artists.

It was a howling good time, putting paint to canvas and bringing the community together to celebrate SALA.

Ali hopes to organise more age inclusive workshops in the region, so that it can become a multigenerational pursuit, enjoyed by all members of the community.
