Veterans of the game of cricket have their skills on show this week, with the Barossa 24 Carnival of Cricket for over 60s taking place at Stockwell, Lyndoch and Sandy Creek ovals on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The tournament features veteran cricketers, some aged into their 70s, from South Australia and interstate. According to the organisers, games are played with “plenty of skill, flair, show-ponying, and all in the very best spirit of cricket and friendship”.
