Step Back in Time

1 min read

Even on the first day of the Barossa Vintage Festival, visitors and locals alike were out in force to experience all that the Festival had to offer, with many choosing to take a Step Back in Time to begin the celebration.

And those who stopped by to take a walk on the historical side were certainly treated to a full production at the Bethany Lutheran Church complex.

Whether listening to the organ played by Gina Dutschke on Wednesday, Steve Kaesler on Thursday or Norm Inglis on Friday, making traditional egg noodles, churning butter, decorating a honey biscuit, viewing vintage machinery or browsing produce and exhibits, every visitor will have walked away with some more knowledge of the past than when they arrived.

Adding to the authenticity of the whole affair, the army of volunteers were appropriately dressed in period clothing, helping complete the experience and walking the community through a time machine of Barossa life.
