Gawler Central's Zahra Schumacher had a superb year and was named as the Senior 1 Best and Fairest at the BLGNA Awards night on Monday.
Speaking to The Leader Zahra said the award was unexpected.
"It's a pretty tight competition especially in Senior 1s, very privileged though it's very exciting," she said.
