Councillor Bill Close has been elected as new Mayor of Light Regional Council, following a close count in the recent Supplementary Election.
Mayor Close received 38.7 per cent of the primary votes, narrowly ahead of Acting Mayor Michael Phillips-Ryder who received 34.29 per cent.
