Insect Invasion enters its next era

Insect Invasion is entering an exciting new era after more than 15 years protecting homes and businesses throughout the Barossa.

Owner operator Garry Pape said the business has been servicing the Barossa area and Adelaide since 2009, steadily building the business through word of mouth and repeat customers.

Insect Invasion provides residential and commercial pest control for spiders, ants, cockroaches, earwigs, millipedes, flies, mosquitoes and rodents, with customer satisfaction and personal service remaining the priority.

What started as weekend work has gradually grown into a trusted local business says Garry, who explained his focus has always been on providing high quality and personalised service.

And now, thanks to his son Josh joining the business 18 months ago, Garry has been able to expand the business, while maintaining the same level of care and attention to detail that has kept his customers returning for years.

“When the customer rings us, they know they’re going to get me,” Garry said.

“They’re not going to get a person in an office who relays a message.

“Josh and I are the people who take the phone calls and come and do the treatment.”

Josh, who previously worked as a chef, decided on a change of direction and gained his pest-control licence before joining his father in 2025.

Garry said having Josh come on board means he is able to keep the business local and family-run.

“Having that customer satisfaction is peace of mind for anyone,” he said.

He is now helping Insect Invasion expand its reach into Adelaide, while Garry continues to service the Barossa and surrounding areas.

The business has also introduced a structured monthly rodent-management program for commercial customers which provides ongoing preventative protection against rats and mice.
