About 70 residents attended last week's community-led meeting at Eudunda to discuss the ElectraNet Northern Transmission Project (NTx).
Meeting convener and Hansborough and Districts Residents Group Secretary, Mary Morris said the meeting provided residents with the opportunity to be part of a Coordinated Community Response to the NTx project and participate in a community-led survey, separate from ElectraNet's consultation.
The community-led survey will gather information about residents' attitudes to ElectraNet's proposed NTx corridor options between Templers and Bundey and compile a number of questions that participants want answered.
Information collected in the survey will be used to form a Coordinated Community Response (CCR) which will be submitted to ElectraNet.
The CCR can also be provided to organisations such as local councils, community management groups and farming organisations to inform any future responses to ElectraNet on behalf of local communities.
"What came out of the meeting was a chance for everyone in the four proposed corridors to have their say and have their voice heard in the collective response, and for that collated information to be made public", Mary Morris said.
"The more people who do our survey the better. This will allow us to put together a more detailed submission to ElectraNet."
Mary said this survey being used to collect responses would be open until midnight this Friday. She encouraged residents to complete the community led survey, but also to continue attending ElectraNet information sessions providing feedback to ElectraNet directly.
Member for Frome, Penny Pratt advised she was pleased to facilitate the meeting.
"It was a good opportunity for the community to come together to discuss their views on the project…," Ms Pratt said.
