One of the more unique additions to this year's Vintage Festival program was Touchdown & Taste Off, held at Barossa Rams Rugby Club, Tanunda on Thursday night.
Players of American Football South Australia presented a demonstration game between the 'Sharks' and the 'Oilers', in recognition of the relationship between The Barossa Council and sister city, Grapevine, Texas.
The Texan delegation, hard to miss in their trademark hats and boots, attended the event, which also included grape stomping and a Barossa versus Grapevine 'blind tasting'.
American hotdogs, German sausages and popcorn were served to a hungry crowd, which included interested visitors as well as locals, curious for a glimpse of the iconic American sport.
