The Leader was on 'poo patrol' last Friday afternoon when attending a smouldering pile of manure in Truro.
Firefighters from Northern Barossa CFS were deployed to the site and up-to four water-bombers were witnessed flying overhead.
A CFS Spokesperson said "A small smouldering manure pile required the deployment of firefighters from the Northern Barossa.
"No air response was required."
