Yalumba celebrates 175 years of family winemaking

Last Wednesday, Yalumba launched celebrations for its 175th year of family winemaking in style, with a historic museum tasting and dinner for 100 guests.  The Hill-Smith family welcomed guests to the winery at Angaston for the 29th Yalumba Museum Tasting – a long-held tradition. Robert Hill-Smith, fifth generation proprietor, welcomed guests, saying, “for 175 years, our family has explored and admired the great wines of the world and have become enamoured with a few special bottles that have made their way to our Family Museum at Yalumba. Each bottle represents the place, people, vintage and variety which, combined, forms an irreplicable moment in time and adds to the rich history of the world of fine wine.”
