It's been described as an "Australian culinary icon," so it's not surprising that the humble lamington is given its own National Day, which for 2025 was celebrated on Monday.
And while the Barossa is perhaps better known for its honey biscuits and German delicacies, the humble lamington still also features at Sunrise Bakery, which is know for its generous, plump versions of the sweet.
