Annual flu cases are markedly higher than this time last year, according to the SA Health Respiratory Infections Dashboard, with 10,569 reported across the state, year to date, an increase from 6,212 at the same time last year.
There have been 1627 cases of the flu reported for the week (as of July 4), with five deaths year to date from the flu, compared to a total of 30 deaths in previous year.
